Upcoming Events

Monday, December 16, 2024 -  Our annual holiday potluck will be held from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the lower level of the Wil-Mar Center.  Bring a dish to pass, we have always enjoyed the delicious and tempting options at this event!  We will follow the potluck with our usual 3rd Monday dance from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm in the Wilmar dance hall.  We hope to dance a few seasonal favorites this time of year!

Past Events

Sunday, November 10, 2024 - The Madison English Country Dancers hosted an "Afternoon Tea and Dance" at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, 504 S. Brearly St. Madison, WI.  We had many people join us from the Contra dance, Scottish and International communities.  We had a great time and introduced English Country dancing to some people who had no experience with the dance form.  We danced to the beautiful and inspired live music of Rare Privilege (Amy McFarland, piano and Maria Terres, violin).  Mady Newfield, Chicago dance caller, engaged dancers with her warm, friendly style and her great love of english country dance.

Monday September 2, 2024 - Shifting Gears Bike Path Dance Festival in Brittigham Park - Madison English Country Dancers showcased some of our traditional dances and encouraged audience participation. See our homepage to view the video of this event.
